Scotland - Strikes by providers leave parents with child care turmoil

Child Care Workforce Thousands of parents across Scotland face wide-spread disruption as nursery nurses (child care providers) today begin three days of industrial action in their fight for a 20 to 25% pay rise.

More than 5,000 child care workers have voted for the strikes that will affect some 60,000 under-fives across the country leaving many working mothers and fathers struggling to find supervision for their children.
