The Morrison Public School District will not receive about one hundred thirty one thousand dollars from the Illinois Board of Education. The Board is making cuts, statewide, because of the financial crisis in Illinois.
In Morrison, the Early Childhood Learning Program took a thirty three percent cut. That translates into about forty two thousand dollars. Pre-school teaching positions will not be cut. However, the district will not have the money to buy some of the supplies that play an important role in pre-school education.
