BUFFALO, NY (WBFO) - County Executive Chris Collins has blamed county budget constraints for ending child care subsidies for the working poor.
New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is now urging Collins to restore those funds.
The County Executive blames the expiration of state funding for the county's child care block grant for his decision. Gillibrand has assured that she will work with state and federal sources in an effort to restore funding.
