NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A local daycare owner is offering to watch children for free while their unemployed parents look for a job. Tracey Prue runs ‘My Daddy's Daycare' in Dickson.

Prue said he recently witnessed a woman leave her twins in a car to get a job application in town, and with unemployment in the county at 10 percent, he felt it was his civic duty to help.

"I had an opportunity to offer it. I have space. I have a little overtime, I'll give it up, that's what I did," said Prue.

He's willing to babysit children in the morning or afternoon for three hours at a time.

"Safety is the biggest factor here, that's why I worry about where the children are while they're trying to look, and the burden of the parent having to tote them around for hours a day," said Prue.

The parents will need to bring an immunization certificate and an application.
