Working parents know it all too well.

Trying to find care for a child when your schedule isn't exactly nine to five can be a full time job.

We may have the answer -- 24-hour child care.

As Reporter Ewa roman explains, there may be more of a demand for this new local business than you think.

21-month-old Dream likes her new friends at Safani Child Care.

It's where she goes when mommy is at work.

" I'm always busy. You know, taking the bus every day. It gets hard, but you know, I pray," said Jessica Cobb, single mom.

Jessica's prayers were answered when a new, 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week child care center opened early September.

It's called Safani Child Care located on 55 North Front Street in Steelton.

"One thing I like about her day care is that you can switch your shifts from day to night time, which is very convenient for me and I live in Steelton so it really helps for me," said Cobb.

Owner, Oumou Rouga, says there are always three employees working during each shift.

The most popular one?

3 p.m. to 11:30 at night.

With her husband in Africa, Oumou has had to raise two kids alone for the most part.

Working and going to school, she too once struggled to find child care.

" Most of the daycares open 6:30 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. and I have been struggling a lot when I was working and a student. It's not easy at all. So one time I just got up and said if there is nobody that can do it for me, why not me do it for all the people?" said Oumou Rouga, owner, Safani Child Care.
