Fargo businesses are banding together to add a child care center in the city.
Knight LLC, the parent company of Knight Publishing Inc., is forming a coalition of businesses to provide matching grants of up to $50,000 to add a day care center to south Fargo. Knight Chief Executive Officer Rich Slagle says he had others want to avoid a situation in which parents would call in sick because the day care centers they use suddenly closed.
