LEWISTON – There are new measures in place designed to make sure your children are protected when you're away.

Child care officials and regulators gathered Friday in Lewiston to discuss child care laws and a new help line.

Lewiston Business Licensor Susan Gehrke said the state has tightened laws when it comes to child care providers and the city will have to update it's own ordinance.
