If you're looking for child care, you'll want to check-out the latest edition of the metro area's most comprehensive resource guide.
The Early Care and Education Guide from Quality Care for Children is now available at area Kroger stores, pediatrician offices and public libraries.
The book is filled with information on hundreds of child care centers and family child care homes in metro Atlanta listed by city and zip codes.
"We give the phone number. The days that they're open. The hours that they're open. The ages they care for. The meals they serve," shares Pam Runkle, the Executive Director of Resource and Referral for Quality Care for Children.
Once the parent chooses the places to visit, the guide has articles on how to select the best place.
"You want to look at the environment. You want to watch the interaction between the teachers and the children. Is it warm? Is it nurturing?," asks Runkle.
Some of the information pages are also in Spanish.
There's also advice on finding child care for the parents of children with autism and other special needs.
The guides are available area Kroger stores... public libraries and pediatricians offices.
