The San Antonio College’s Department of Early Childhood Studies received a $889,236 grant from the U.S. Department of Education — through its Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS) program.

San Antonio College will receive $222,309 a year over a four-year period to provide affordable, on-campus education and child care for children of qualifying full-time and part-time students enrolled at SAC.

Parents with children in the center have to receive student financial aid in order to apply for the tuition subsidy. Students will pay between $25 and $65 a week, depending on their income. The center’s open rate per child/per week is $148.50.
